Know the support process before you buy

1. Contact EWHIP

Describe the issue and include the bike model, proof of purchase and clear photos or video where relevant.

2. Diagnose the fault

EWHIP may guide you through safe basic troubleshooting to identify the component or repair required.

3. Agree the repair path

Depending on the issue and location, the next step may involve a replacement part, local bike technician or another agreed repair path.

How EWHIP repairs work

For warranty concerns

The written warranty explains eligible defects, exclusions, proof requirements and the claim process. For a warrantable defect, EWHIP's policy says the replacement part is supplied free of charge.

The policy also states that the customer may be responsible for part shipping and local labour, subject to Australian Consumer Law.

For routine maintenance and wear

Tyres, tubes, brake pads, chains, cables, spokes and grips are wear items under the published warranty. Routine servicing and normal wear are not manufacturing defects.

Contact EWHIP if you need help identifying the right part or explaining the bike to a local technician.

Warranty and paid servicing are different

Situation Typical first step Important point
Possible manufacturing defect Contact EWHIP with proof and evidence Assessment is against the written warranty and Australian Consumer Law.
Brake adjustment, tyre wear or scheduled maintenance Book a capable local bike technician Routine maintenance and consumables are generally customer costs.
Damage after modification or misuse Contact EWHIP before further use Modifications and excluded use may affect warranty coverage.
Unsure which part is required Send the model and clear photos to EWHIP Do not order a compatibility-sensitive part based on appearance alone.

Australia-wide support without vague promises

Service FAQs

Can any bike shop service an EWHIP?

Many routine bicycle tasks can be handled by a suitably capable local technician, but acceptance and e-bike capability vary by shop. Contact the shop before arriving and contact EWHIP for model-specific support.

Does the warranty cover labour?

The published EWHIP policy states that the warranty covers eligible replacement parts, while the customer is responsible for local labour costs, subject to Australian Consumer Law.

What should I send with a repair enquiry?

Send your order details, bike model, a clear description, and photos or video of the problem. Stop riding if continued use could be unsafe or cause further damage.

Does EWHIP stock spare parts?

EWHIP maintains a spare-parts collection and can assist with identifying compatibility. Availability varies, so confirm the exact part before ordering.
