Product Warranty
Covered properly.
Claimed simply.
Every EWHIP is covered against manufacturing defects, and those rights sit on top of the guarantees you already have under the Australian Consumer Law. Below is exactly what is covered, what voids cover, and how to lodge a claim against your bike's serial number.
Frame & rigid fork
Manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship.
Electrical components
Battery, motor, controller, display, wiring harness and charger.
Non-electrical components
Forks, stem, bars, seat post, saddle, brakes, lights, drivetrain, rims and hubs.
What is covered
If an original component proves defective in materials or workmanship within its warranty period, we will repair or replace it. Warranty periods run from the date of original retail purchase.
Eligibility: the warranty extends to the original retail purchaser. Proof of purchase — your original receipt or EWHIP order confirmation — is required for all claims. Registering your bike makes this instant.
What is not covered
Wear and tear
Parts that normally wear: brake pads, brake rotors, brake fluid, tyres (including punctures), fork seals, hand grips, chain and saddle.
Damage from use or handling
Accident, misuse, abuse, negligence, water penetration, salt splash, impacts, shocks, vibration, or damage caused by improper or insufficient maintenance. A bicycle is a vehicle in real working conditions; that kind of damage is not a manufacturing fault.
Assembly and adjustments
Some parts may shift in transit, so brake and derailleur adjustment can be required after assembly. Failure to assemble or adjust correctly is not covered, and neither are third-party workshop fees.
Water
Your EWHIP is water resistant, not waterproof. Riding in mild or moderate rain is fine. Do not submerge it or ride in heavy rain. Rust and corrosion from improper care or storage are not covered.
Cosmetic marks
Scratches that appear from parts moving in transit are handled with a colour-matched touch-up sample. Replacement of a frame or part solely for scratches is not available.
Transport and consequential loss
The warranty covers parts and labour only. Freight to and from our service centre, and third-party service charges, are on the customer's account. We are not liable for consequential, special or indirect damages.
Aftermarket modifications void your warranty
Any change to the original design or electrical system can cancel coverage immediately. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Installing an aftermarket throttle
- Removing or modifying the crank arm
- Fitting foot pegs instead of pedals
- Removing the chain
- Disconnecting or bypassing the brake cut-off switch
- Cutting or altering the wiring harness
- Replacing or modifying the controller or battery
- Any other electrical modification
Using the bike for commercial activity, or failing to follow the owner's manual, also voids the warranty.
Lodge a warranty claim
Claim directly with us using the form below. We will need photos or a short video of the fault, and we may ask you to run some basic troubleshooting first — that is how we identify the root cause quickly instead of guessing. Where a part is required we ship it to you with fitting instructions.
Full terms
